Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Substation department. The role acts as a discipline/project engineer, planning, scheduling and coordinating design work for foundation and structural steel, including calculations.

Required: ABET‑accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree and SE registration, with 4+ years of experience. Proficiency in MathCAD/STAAD, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and MS Office is expected; office or field work possible.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering degree required.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) registration required.
• Minimum of 4+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical utility substation layout and design preferred.
• Experience with design software (MathCAD, STAAD, AutoCAD/MicroStation) and codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies current, standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete tasks.
• Develops plans, specifications, and observation reports to ensure accuracy and sound practice.
• Coordinates specific design aspects of a project and conducts detailed engineering design.
• Works with engineering technicians and other engineers; may work in office or field.
• Communicates with clients to ensure needs are met and supports business development عندما.
