Job summary
Ulteig is seeking a Design Civil/Structural Engineer to support Renewables/Utility/Power projects in the Substation department. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned work, making design recommendations for foundation, structural steel, and grading designs.
You will perform calculations using engineering formulas, and complete own design work which may involve CAD calculations. The role requires at least a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Eng (ABET) and 2 years of
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) registration or obtain within 6 months required.
- Knowledge of electrical utility substation layout and design preferred.
- Understanding of structural steel, drilled pier & spread footing design and detailing required.
Responsibilities
- Applies current, standard engineering techniques to complete tasks.
- Develops plans, specifications, and observation reports.
- Prepares reports and correspondence concerning project direction.
- Coordinates design aspects of a project and works with other disciplines.
