Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support Renewables/Utility/Power projects in our Substation department. You will act as a discipline engineer or overall project engineer planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of assigned work, making design recommendations for foundations, structural steel, and grading.

You will work with engineers and technicians, may be in office or field, and travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree required.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical utility substations a plus.
• Knowledge of structural steel, drilled piers and grading design.
• Proficiency with MathCAD, STAAD, AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of AISC/ACI; ASCE & NESC preferred.
• Authorized to work in the US; up to 15% travel.

Responsibilities

• Applies standard engineering techniques to complete tasks.
• Develops plans, specifications, and observation reports for quality and accuracy.
• Coordinates design aspects of projects and communicates with clients.
• Prepares reports and correspondence on project direction.
• Collaborates with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
