Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Substation department. The role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed project work, with emphasis on foundation and structural steel design.

You will perform calculations and develop designs using software tools and engineering judgment. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians, perform field observations when needed, and contribute to multi-discipline projects while maintaining high-quality

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree required.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) registration required.
• Minimum of 4+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical utility substation layout and design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Applies current, standard engineering techniques to complete tasks.
• Develops plans, specifications and observation reports for accuracy and sound engineering practice.
• Coordinates design aspects of a project with other disciplines.
• Performs detailed engineering design and evaluations within specialty.
• Communicates effectively with clients to ensure needs are met.
