Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design protection and control projects for electric utilities from 12kV to 500kV. The role includes design of single-lines, schematics, and wiring, with responsibilities across transmission, distribution, and substation facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of substation protection design and/or field testing experience (mid level).
• Senior/Lead: 6+ years of substation protection design and/or field testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and planning activities for electric transmission, distribution, and substation facilities.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring designs for substations.
• Perform quality control checks on wiring designs.
• Develop bill of materials based on design criteria.
• Provide complete project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation.
