Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Protection & Controls Engineer to design protection and control systems for electric utilities from 12kV to 500kV. You will work on relay design, schematics, and panel layouts, interfacing with local and national clients.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with 1–4 days in the Framingham, MA area and opportunities for training, professional certification, and leadership development within a dynamic Power Delivery team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 2+ years in substation protection and control design/field testing/commissioning.
• Experience in executing substation protection and control projects.
• Ability to read and design protection and control drawings (one-line, three-line, AC/DC schematics).

Responsibilities

• Design substation protection and control projects for 12kV–500kV utilities.
• Create relay one-line, three-line, DC protection, and panel layout designs.
• Develop BOMs and perform design quality checks.
• Support projects through scoping to implementation and construction.
• Collaborate with CAD drafters and client teams.
