Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design protection and control projects for electric utilities from 12kV to 500kV. The role covers single-line, schematics, and wiring designs with a focus on protection systems and digital logic.
A hybrid schedule applies with in-office days in multiple locations and travel to client sites as required. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience; Senior/Lead levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of substation protection & control design and/or field testing/commissioning experience.
- Senior/Lead level requires 6+ years in substation protection & control design/field testing/commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Design and planning related activities for transmission, distribution, and substation facilities.
- Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring designs for substations.
- Perform quality control checks on wiring designs and lead studies/reports for transmission and distribution systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external clients; travel to project sites as needed.
