Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Substation Protection & Control Engineer for our Substation South Group. You will design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities from 12kV to 500kV, using digital logic and E&C knowledge.
Hybrid in-person work in Atlanta/Charlotte/Houston/Orlando with remote days." You’ll contribute to the design lifecycle, prepare diagrams, and work with a collaborative team while advancing your expertise through training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of Substation protection and control design/field testing experience.
- Senior/Lead: 6+ years of Substation protection and control design/field testing experience.
Responsibilities
- Design substation protection and control projects for utilities from 12kV to 500kV.
- Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics and wiring designs for substations.
- Support quality control checks on wiring designs and construction drawings.
- Develop studies and reports for transmission and distribution systems.
