NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP is seeking a Supervisor-Substation Operations to lead a skilled team in Mechanicville, NY. You will supervise construction, maintenance, and switching for transmission and distribution substations, ensuring safe operation and adherence to policies, budgets, and reliability standards.

You will coordinate with related departments, manage projects, and provide technical guidance on protective devices and substation automation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years relevant experience preferred
• Associates degree with 7+ years relevant experience or HS/GED with progression and 10 years relevant exp
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical tech, substations, control devices, and switching

Responsabilidades

• Plans, schedules, assigns, and directs work of Substation Operations personnel and administers local department budgets
• Oversees all substation construction, modification and maintenance projects including major capital and automation
• Responsible for transmission and bulk power delivery systems
• Prepares and implements preventive maintenance programs aligned with reliability goals and safety standards
• Coordinates safety training and inspections and after-hours emergency coverage
• Trains personnel in protection devices, control systems, switching and tagging
• Evaluates employee performance and conducts annual appraisals
• Acts as division/district switching coordinator and coordinates with contractors
