Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increased independence. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and troubleshooting, building on foundational skills with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include testing high/medium/low voltage equipment, inspecting breakers and transformers, and documenting work per project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or equivalent.
• Military experience is a plus and helpful in the field.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies, PPE usage, and substation environment protocols.
• Perform testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment with supervision.
• Inspect, test, and maintain breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot using schematics and manuals; escalate complex issues.
• Document testing, maintenance, and repair work accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field tasks safely.
