Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is hiring a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment across North America. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and independent work, with opportunities to grow technical expertise in high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities include analyzing schematics, performing functional checks, and assisting commissioning activities while documenting all work in accordance with project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Pre-employment drug screen required for safety sensitive role.
  • Criminal background check required.
  • Overtime availability and travel to out-of-town sites.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and report equipment issues using schematics and manuals.
  • Coordinate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
  • Accurately document testing and maintenance work per project requirements.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to meet standards.
