Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior engineering leader to manage multi-disciplinary teams delivering high voltage substations for utility clients in the United States. You will guide concept through detailed design, field support, and project closeout, ensuring technical excellence and on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires deep knowledge of HV engineering, project management, and client liaison, with readiness to travel to project sites and meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Essential: BS from ABET-accredited engineering program or advanced management/business degree.
• Hands-on experience with MISO facility studies and DPP process.
• Project Management experience in Utility Transmission & Distribution Substation Projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• 20+ years in design of multi-discipline solutions for HV substations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a project team of engineers and designers through design execution and closeout.
• Coordinate engineering and design from concept through field support.
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients and preparation of reports.
• Travel to project sites and attend client meetings.
