Job summary

GFT is seeking experienced Substation Engineers to join our Power Group. Hybrid work is available in many locations, with remote options for the right candidate. The role covers design, engineering and project management for high- and extra-high voltage substations.

Minimum 4+ years in power/utility design; a PE license or path to licensure is preferred. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $135,000 depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license or on the path to licensure.
• 4+ years in design, engineering and PM within power/utility.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation layout drawings and related plans.
• Create one- and three-line diagrams, power systems, SCADA, and wiring.
• Prepare calculations and reports for clients.
• Prepare equipment specifications for substation equipment and construction.
• Collaborate to pursue regional and national projects.
• Engage with clients and cross-disciplinary teams.
