Job summary

GFT is seeking experienced Substation Engineers (Electrical Engineers) to join our Power Group. The role can be hybrid or remote for the right candidate, supporting projects from 34.5kV to 500kV and delivering reliable power delivery solutions.

You will lead or support utility and power substation projects, develop layouts, lines, power and communication systems, and collaborate across offices to win bids and deliver high quality engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Progressive experience in design, engineering and project management in power/utility.
• Professional Engineer license or on track to licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation layouts and one-line diagrams.
• Prepare equipment specifications and power system drawings.
• Produce calculations and reports for clients.
• Collaborate to pursue regional and national substation projects.
• Support proposals, bids, and client presentations.
• Build and nurture client relationships across disciplines.
