Actalent in Kentucky is seeking a Substation Engineer to deliver electrical design solutions for power delivery projects, with a focus on substations and expansion into solar, storage, data centers, and broader facilities.

You will contribute to day-to-day engineering execution, support a growing team, and have opportunities to cross-train across multiple power delivery disciplines. This role is based in Lexington with a hybrid schedule after six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience on substation or transmission utility projects.
• Hands-on substation engineering and design experience.

Responsabilités

• Direct and coordinate multi-discipline teams through full project lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor entry-level engineers for professional growth.
• Manage large multidiscipline projects with significant technical complexity.
• Produce and coordinate multiple projects to align design, schedule, and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain client relationships and participate in meetings.
• Coordinate deliverable development with internal staff and external stakeholders.
• Oversee staffing and workload to meet schedule.
• Track financial aspects and adjust team effort to stay within budget.
• Collaborate with leadership to conduct periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures to maintain high standards.
• Supervise large project teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Perform other duties to support project success.
