Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a hybrid position in Lexington, KY, supporting utility-scale energy storage and renewable projects. You will design BESS layouts, one-line diagrams, and electrical packages while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from concept to IFC.

You’ll contribute to project development, evaluate storage technologies, and mentor junior engineers in a 100% employee-owned organization with strong growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in BESS, renewable energy, substations, or power systems.
• Experience developing electrical design packages, one-line diagrams, and construction documents.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design utility-scale BESS projects, including diagrams and electrical design packages.
• Support projects from concept through IFC.
• Evaluate energy storage technologies and vendors.
• Develop and review electrical plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Work across renewables, power generation, substations, transmission, distribution, and microgrid projects.
