Job summary

Dashiell is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to assist with engineering design duties and hands-on substation projects. Under close supervision, you will develop wiring diagrams, BOMs, and design documents while applying NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

You will gain practical experience at job sites, perform support calculations (relay burden, load flow, short circuit), and learn to use engineering software and document management systems as part of a structured training

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power focus preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for substation projects under supervision.
• Perform relay burden, loading, short circuit calculations, and ground grid tasks under supervision.
• Learn software for design tasks and apply NEC/NESC/NEMA/IEEE/ANSI standards.
• Complete tasks to meet project schedules and assist with site visits as needed.
• Use document management systems and follow corporate engineering practices.
• Travel to project sites for hands-on training and knowledge gain.
