Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Jackson, MI is seeking an Engineer-In-Training 1, Electrical Substation to join our design team. You will contribute to substation physical layouts, lightning protection, grounding analysis, and schematic drawings under supervision.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, up to 2 years of experience, FE exam or plan to take it within 6 months, and strong communication and Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Up to 2 years of experience.
• Must have passed FE Exam or will take it within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans.
• Perform grounding analysis and design, and generate single/three-line schematics.
• Panel wiring, DC schematics, and control building/relay panel layouts.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines.
