Job summary

Stanley Consultants, an award-winning global engineering firm, seeks a Substation Engineer-in-Training to join the Jackson, MI office. The role involves designing substation layouts, protection schemes, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams on diverse projects.

The candidate will contribute to grounding, schematics, and control building layouts, while collaborating with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Up to 2 years of experience.
• Must have passed FE Exam or will take within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans.
• Grounding analysis and design.
• Generate single- and three-line schematic diagrams and panel wiring diagrams.
• DC schematics, control building and relay panel layouts, lighting design.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines.
