Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Muscatine, IA is seeking an Engineer-In-Training 1, Electrical Substation to join our design team. You’ll design substation physical layouts, lightning protection, grounding, conduit and cable plans, and schematic drawings, coordinating with structural and civil groups.

Qualified candidates hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from ABET‑accredited program, have up to 2 years’ experience, and have passed FE or will within 6 months.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• Pass FE exam or will take within 6 months of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans.
• Grounding analysis and design; generate single and three-line schematics, panel wiring, DC schematics, relay layouts.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line and graphics disciplines.
