Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Substation Student Intern to join our Jackson, MI office. The role offers hands-on exposure to substation design concepts and collaboration with a multidisciplinary engineering team.

You will assist in developing layouts, grounding analysis, and protective schemes while learning from experienced professionals. Enrollment in a BSEE program and a 3.0+ GPA are required; on-site work in Michigan is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be enrolled in a BSEE program at an ABET-accredited university.
• GPA 3.0+ and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• The student will assist in understanding substation design concepts and layouts.
• Assist with lightning protection, grounding analysis, and schematic diagrams.
• Collaborate with design teams across disciplines and support multiple projects.
