Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Engineer-in-Training 1, Electrical Substation to join our Austin, TX office. This entry-level role will contribute to substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis, and schematic generation as part of a design team.

You will work onsite with engineers from multiple disciplines to deliver coordinated electrical designs and drawings, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Up to 2 years of experience.
• FE Exam passed or will be taking within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design substation physical layouts and lightning protection.
• Conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design.
• Generate single and three-line schematic diagrams; panel wiring and DC schematics.
• Control building and relay panel layouts; lighting design.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines; work as part of a design team.
