Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks an Electrical Substation Student Intern for our Jackson, MI office to gain hands-on experience in substation design and related disciplines. You will contribute to developing layouts, grounding analyses, and schematics under supervision on real projects.

Offered in an onsite role, you must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering program.
• Coursework or experience in power system analysis.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working toward a BS in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of various aspects of Substation Design.
• Assist with design of substation layouts, grounding analysis, and protection/relay interfaces.
• Create and review single- and three-line diagrams, conduit and cable plans, and panel wiring.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines on projects.

Sophomore/Junior/Senior pursuing BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
