Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Muscatine, IA is seeking an Engineer-In-Training 1, Electrical Substation to contribute to substation design and analysis. You will work onsite with our design team on layouts, protection, grounding, wiring diagrams, and coordination with civil and transmission disciplines.

The role emphasizes growth through mentoring, hands-on project experience, and collaboration across engineering disciplines. A BS in Electrical Engineering and FE exam progress are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University.
• Up to 2 years of experience.
• Must have passed FE Exam or will be taking the FE Exam within the next 6 months of being hired.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States for any length of time.

Responsibilities

• Design substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design.
• Generate single and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, DC schematics, control building and relay panel layouts.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines.
• Work as part of a design team; may be assigned to more than one project.
