Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Associate Substation Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in Commercial Energy Services. You will work under a licensed professional engineer and develop skills in substation engineering toward greater independence on nationwide utility projects.

Responsibilities include assisting with Electrical design, Protection and Control, SCADA, and Station Automation; performing basic calculations; preparing drawings and reports; and supporting project teams to improve execution

Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
0 - 2+ years of relevant utility substation experience with a B.S. degree.
0 - 1+ years of relevant experience with an MS degree.
Strong understanding of electric power and utility grid basics.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist project teams with Electrical, Protection and Control, SCADA, and Station Automation design.
Perform basic engineering calculations to support design.
Follow the Quality Control Plan and prepare project deliverables.
Collaborate with other substation disciplines and improve project execution.
Maintain organized records and develop professional knowledge.
