Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking an entry-level Control Technician I to assist in installation, inspection, and maintenance of control wiring systems in substations. The role emphasizes safety, learn-by-doing cable installation, terminations, and print reading under supervision.

You will work with senior technicians to develop skills, maintain a clean work environment, and support field activities, with opportunities for certification and career development.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen for safety sensitive role.
• Criminal background check required.
• Ability to work overtime and travel off-site.
• Ability to climb ladders, stand for long periods, and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE in substation environments.
• Assist with receiving, staging, and verifying materials.
• Support cable pulling and routing under supervision.
• Learn wiring diagrams, schematics, and terminations under guidance.
• Work with senior technicians and engineers on field activities.
• Maintain tools and organized work areas daily.
