Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking an entry-level Control Technician I to assist with installation, inspection, and maintenance of control wiring systems in electrical substations across North America. You will learn cable terminations, wiring diagrams, and safety procedures under direct supervision.

Ideal candidates will be able to pass a drug screen, background check, lift up to 70 lbs, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Pre-employment drug screen required.
  • Criminal background check required.
  • Overtime and travel out of town required.
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety policies and use PPE in substation environments.
  • Participate in safety trainings and daily briefings.
  • Assist with receiving, staging, and verifying materials.
  • Support cable pulling and routing under supervision.
  • Learn wiring diagrams and schematics to complete tasks.
  • Assist with megger testing under supervision.
  • Maintain organized tools and work areas.
  • Keep workspaces free from hazards.
