Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking a Drafter – Substation to perform routine substation design using CAD. The role reports to the Design Lead in Engineering and supports multiple projects within the QISG platform.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent, strong AutoCAD skills, and a proven eye for detail. Entry-level applicants are welcome; more CAD/design experience may lead to higher pay bands.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent certification.
• Experience in drafting disciplines with a background in substation design preferred.
• No experience required for entry level; more CAD/design experience could yield a higher pay band.

Responsibilities

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize CAD design software for substation design.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure high workmanship.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work.
• Research information in catalogs, specifications, corporate standards, or other reference material.
• Learn and properly use the document management system and suggest improvements.
• Bring potential project-related problems and possible solutions to the attention of stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
