Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Designer – Substation to support design projects across the QISG platform. You will perform 2D/3D design tasks with CAD tools and help maintain accurate drawing packages for client deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in electric utility CAD/design, familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, SDS, and related software, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and drafters while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred; a 4-year Eng Tech degree is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of CAD/design experience in high voltage substation projects.
• Experience with 3D design software (AutoCAD/Inventor/SDS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support substation design projects across the QISG platform.
• Perform routine 2D/3D Physical and/or P&C design tasks with CAD tools.
• Develop and maintain quality drawing packages for internal and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafting teams under lead designer guidance.
• Travel to project sites as required; ensure standards compliance.
