Quanta Services is seeking a Designer – Substation to support design projects across the QISG platform. The role focuses on 2D/3D CAD tasks with emphasis on accuracy, standards compliance, and quality drawing packages for internal and client-facing deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in electric utility CAD/design for HV substations, strong knowledge of AutoCAD family (including SDS), and the ability to work with engineers and drafting teams under supervision. Travel may be required.

Qualificações

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in electric utility CAD/design for high voltage substation projects.
• Experience with 3D and/or smart design software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, SDS).
• Familiarity with substation materials, construction methods and utility design standards.
• Proficient with CAD platforms and document management systems.

Responsabilidades

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize 3D and/or smart design software for substation design.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure high workmanship standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafting teams to produce quality drawings.
• Travel for project-related site visits as required.
• Learn and apply corporate engineering practices and document management.
• Identify and communicate potential project risks and solutions.
