Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) seeks a Designer – Substation to support design projects across the platform. You will perform routine 2D/3D design tasks with CAD proficiency, working under a Lead Designer and collaborating with engineers and drafting teams to deliver client-ready drawings.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of substation materials, construction methods, and proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, and SDS. Travel for project needs is possible.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in electric utility CAD/design for high voltage substations.
• Experience with 3D and smart design software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, SDS).

Responsibilities

• Support substation design projects from inception to completion.
• Use 3D and/or smart design software for substation design.
• Ensure quality standards and accuracy of drawings; collaborate with engineers.
