Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Navy Financial Associate to join Team Submarine in Washington, DC. You will provide daily financial support, perform budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, and maintain financial databases for contract cost management.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, US Citizenship, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, and at least 8 years of experience. Willingness to travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field is desired.
• 8 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Navy Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes and policies.
• Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to Financial Management team.
• Provide financial analyst services including data gathering, budget and financial analysis, and trend analysis.
• Responsible for budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis.
• Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets; generate financial reports.
• Maintain records and documentation.
• Design, build, and maintain cost database for labor and materials.
• Develop estimated at completion (EACs) for contract requirements; maintain burn rate dashboards.
• Conduct analysis at availability and SWLIN levels; estimate costs for HM&E.
• Develop pricing for future negotiations and forecast delivery impacts.
• Track invoices and develop a database for labor, material, and lease hours.
