Job summary

Serco is seeking a Submarine Electrical Engineer to support U.S. Navy submarines with senior technical expertise, system monitoring, and problem solving from a Washington, D.C. area team.

You will guide maintenance, troubleshooting, and fleet support, influencing program offices and naval authorities. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance or interim clearance, a US citizenship, and a electrical engineering degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or interim Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering disciplines.
• Associate's Degree with 2 years of additional experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of additional experience.
• 5 years of DoD/Armed Services or related experience.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review operations manuals, PMS procedures, and system health reports.
• Review engineering drawings and provide recommendations.
• Develop briefs for decision makers with accurate information.
• Coordinate IPTs and liaise with multiple organizations.
• Provide technical authority for in-service submarine classes.
• Oversee CBM and RCM practices in maintenance.
• Ensure proper systems engineering processes during life cycle sustainment.
• Plan and manage numerous engineering development programs.
• Stay current with engineering advances relevant to submarine systems.
• Maintain high personal standards for performance.
