Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Submarine Electrical Systems Specialist at the Washington Navy Yard, DC. You will support senior program leaders by planning, tracking, executing, and reporting initiatives for in-service submarine projects.

Requirements include a DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor's in business or related field, and 10+ years working with Navy modernization and submarine systems. Travel up to 10% and a strong emphasis on documentation and lifecycle engineering processes are

Qualifications

• A current or active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field.
• Ten years or more of relevant experience with U.S. Navy Modernization and Submarine systems.
• Ability to plan, organize work and meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of configuration management and modernization/alteration ILS processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute Ship Design Manager and Engineering Manager’s Technical Authority for all in-service submarine classes.
• Develop/review operational and technical documentation such as PMP, PMS, manuals, health reports, DFS, LARs, SEPM.
• Provide engineering oversight of CBM and RCM engineering practices; resolve technical problems with submarine systems.
• Influence NAVSEA codes, Program Offices, and industry partners on maintenance of ship systems.
• Ensure proper systems engineering processes during system life cycle sustainment.
• Plan, manage and coordinate engineering development programs with monitoring and analysis.
• Keep abreast of latest engineering advances relevant to new products or theories.
• Assist leadership with resolving technical issues and completing special assignments.
• Prepare coordinated reports, presentations and briefings for program actions.
