Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineering Support to back the US Navy’s Submarine In-service Program Office. You will provide fluid systems engineering, perform analyses, and prepare briefs for decision makers.

Must obtain a DoW Secret security clearance and hold a technical bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience. Travel up to 10% and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• The ability to obtain a U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field with minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Time management skills.
• Proven excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively.
• Ability to be flexible both in relation to job-specification and schedules.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and fluid systems engineering support to the program office.
• Recommend course of action(s) for unexpected technical and programmatic issues related to RDT&E.
• Perform technical planning, cost, schedule, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems; analyses performed at concept, design, test, evaluation, and operational phases.
• Review and develop analytical and technical input needed to evaluate documentation and development of briefs to ensure accurate, timely and essential information is proved to decision makers.
• Prepare Unclassified and Classified briefs for audiences up to and including the Flag level.
• Attend meetings and specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Set high personal standards for performance and conduct.
• Demonstrate ability to be a team player; works well with others; contributes positively to work/team environment while continually seeking ways to enhance contribution to the team.
• Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Perform a variety of tasks under general supervision.
