Job summary

Serco is seeking a Construction Engineering Support professional to assist the Navy’s submarine program office in Columbia-class initiatives. The role requires technical rigor and the ability to obtain a DoW Secret clearance, with responsibilities spanning engineering support, cost/schedule/risk analyses, and briefing preparation for senior decision makers.

The candidate will contribute across concept to deployment phases, participate in IPTs, and travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field with minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.

• Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively.
• Ability to be flexible both in relation to job-specification and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and fluid systems engineering support to the program office.
• Recommend course of action(s) for unexpected technical and programmatic issues related to RDT&E.
• Perform technical planning, cost, schedule, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems; analyses performed at concept, design, test, evaluation, and operational phases.
• Review and develop analytical and technical input needed to evaluate documentation and development of briefs to ensure accurate, timely and essential information is proved to decision makers.
• Prepare Unclassified and Classified briefs for audiences up to and including the Flag level.
• Attend meetings and specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Set high personal standards for performance and conduct.
• Demonstrate ability to be a team player; works well with others; contributes positively to work/team environment while continually seeking ways to enhance contribution to the team.
• Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
