Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Manager of Student Union Operations for the Joe Crowley Student Union. The role coordinates training and supervises about 180 student employees, volunteers, and graduate assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations and programming.

You will oversee security and emergency response, manage events during evenings and weekends, and work with the Associate Director to implement policies and coordinate with the Event Management team and custodial staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree with related experience.
• Two years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or one year with a master’s degree.
• Experience in business operations or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training and supervise about 180 student employees, volunteers and graduate assistants.
• Oversee security and emergency response for the building.
• Ensure 24/7 operation during evenings and weekends.
• Supervise student staff and coordinate facility maintenance with Event Management.
• Interpret and implement university and Student Union policies for usage and programming.
• Oversee student employees with the Associate Director, Joe Crowley Student Union Operations.
