Job summary

The University Student Union at California State University, Northridge is seeking a Student Building Manager to support daily operations and events within the USU. Under supervision, you will help ensure security, assist guests and staff, and manage AV setups and reports during shifts.

You must be a currently enrolled CSUN student with strong communication, reliability, and teamwork. The role requires availability for weekends and even hours as needed and involves potential emergency response

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled CSUN student.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of HR sign-in or obtained through USU-sponsored training.
• Previous related experience or specialized education required.

Responsibilities

• Open/close facility and provide general facility security.
• Support daily activities and events in the Union facility.
• Interpret and enforce USU policies and procedures.
• Assist guests and staff; respond to emergencies including medical, fire, and disturbances.
• Inspect and maintain furniture and AV equipment; assist with inventory.
• Generate detailed shift reports and monitor fire alarm status.
