Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from LifeWise sites. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual and has a clean driving record, with a mature Christian faith aligned to our beliefs.

Responsibilities include obeying traffic laws, keeping the bus clean and safe, performing inspections, refueling as needed, and assisting students entering or exiting the vehicle. The role is part-time and non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine.
• Regular driver's license with at least three years licensed experience.
• Age 21-80; drivers over 75 may require additional documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check and annual Physician’s Statement if medically required.
• Drug/alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus; perform inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children, enforcing safety rules.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by the Director.
