Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a dependable LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from LifeWise sites. You must maintain a clean bus and follow safety rules.

Applicants should have a valid driver's license, CDL-P when applicable, and a clean driving record; be 21–80; readiness for background checks, annual physician statements, and drug testing. Part-time, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• A mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license with at least three years of licensure.
• CDL with passenger endorsement for 15+ passenger vehicles; no license for 15-passenger van.
• Ages 21–80; additional documentation for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents in five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Annual physician's statement for medical conditions as required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refueling as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and demonstrate a calm demeanor.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
