Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to provide safe transport for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith, a clean driving record, and adherence to program policies.

Responsibilities include transporting students, maintaining vehicle safety, and assisting with student transitions. CDL/P endorsement for larger vehicles may be required; background and medical checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with matching doctrine.
• Regular driver’s license; CDL with Passenger endorsement for vehicles over 15 seats if applicable.
• 15-passenger vans may not require a special license.
• Age between 21 and 80; documentation for drivers over 75 as applicable.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in last 5 years.
• Background check required by LifeWise Academy.
• Annual Physician’s Statement for drivers with known medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing conducted per policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and mechanical safety; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering and exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by Director.
