Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, with a clean driving record and a mature Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise beliefs.

The role involves transporting students, enforcing safety rules, performing pre-trip inspections, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Additional duties may include classroom volunteering as agreed with the Director.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Must actively participate in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license; continuously licensed for the past three years.
• Age between 21 and 80; additional documentation after 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Willingness to undergo background check and annual physician's statement if medically required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accident).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus safety standards.
• Keep the bus clean and mechanically safe; perform inspections and refueling as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the Director.
