Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site.

The role requires a mature Christian faith, a clean driving record, and a valid driver's license with appropriate endorsements; CDL-P endorsements apply for larger vehicles where required. The position follows traffic laws and supports a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs
• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Regular drivers license held for past three years
• CDL with passenger endorsement for vehicles seating more than 15 passengers, when required
• Age 21–80; 75+ requires additional documentation (medical/endorsement) as applicable
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in five years
• Background check through LifeWise Academy
• Physician's Statement annually for known medical conditions
• Completion of drug/alcohol testing as required

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular inspections of the bus
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle as needed
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor
• Volunteer in LifeWise classrooms if agreed with the Director
