Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role demands punctual, responsible service with a clean driving record and a mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs.

The driver must hold a regular license (and CDL-P endorsement if transporting 15+ passenger vehicles), pass background checks, and complete annual medical documentation. A safe, compassionate demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate safe driving with a clean record over the past five years.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver’s license held continuously for at least three years.
• CDL with passenger endorsement if driving 15+ passenger vehicles.
• Age between 21 and 80; additional documentation for those over 75.
• Undergo background checks and annual physician’s statements for medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bus; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed and monitor mechanical condition.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for students; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the bus and support misbehavior management.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if requested by the Director.
