Job summary

Hillsborough Community College seeks a student technology support specialist to manage library computer tech and provide direct student assistance both in person and online. You will administer the laptop loaner program, support research, and coordinate tech projects, exercising independent judgment with a service-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Three years of prior-related work experience.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for helping students succeed.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of technology tools and end-user support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive problem-solving for common student technology questions in the library and online.
• Administer laptop loaner program and manage laptop reimaging and sanitization.
• Coordinate technology projects and research new tools for academic use.
• Assist with printing, scanning, wireless access, and campus system navigation (MyHCC, Canvas, Hawkmail).
• Refer students to librarians, Help Desk, and tutoring centers as needed.
