Job summary

The Minnesota State, Century College campus in White Bear Lake is seeking a Student Technology Specialist / College Laboratory Assistant 2 to support student software/hardware and manage student accounts. Work hours are 11:30am–8:00pm, Monday–Friday, with on-site duties in Century College labs.

You will collaborate with faculty to coordinate lab activities, ensure safe equipment use, and maintain security of equipment in student-use areas.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience in computer software applications.
• 6 months of teaching/tutoring experience in computer software applications at the high school level or above.
• An equivalent combination of work and education (a post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree in computer software applications or closely-related field may substitute for one year of experience).

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and provide direct support to students in using Century College student technology hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Maintain availability of supplies and operational computer systems and peripherals in designated student-use technology areas.
• Collaborate regularly with aligned faculty to coordinate lab activities with classroom activities and ensure safe usage of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain physical and logical security for equipment and supplies in student-use technology areas.
