The Minnesota State, Century College campus in White Bear Lake is seeking a Student Technology Specialist / College Laboratory Assistant 2 to support student software/hardware and manage student accounts. Work hours are 11:30am–8:00pm, Monday–Friday, with on-site duties in Century College labs.
You will collaborate with faculty to coordinate lab activities, ensure safe equipment use, and maintain security of equipment in student-use areas.

This CLA position provides direct support for student technology software and hardware, as well as supporting student account management.The position works independently with students while interacting closely with program faculty and staff members to provide instructional support for classroom software, hardware and associated peripherals (including advanced printing technologies) and administrative tools.
Oversee operation and provide direct support to students in using Century College student technology hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
Maintain availability of supplies and operational computer systems and peripherals in designated student-use technology areas.
Collaborate regularly with aligned faculty to coordinate lab activities with classroom activities and ensure safe usage of laboratory equipment.
Maintain physical and logical security for equipment and supplies in student-use technology areas.
This position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds (or more) on a regular basis, as well as regular bending, stooping, and crouching during installations and troubleshooting. This position requires the ability to lift both arms over the head to perform installations or troubleshooting.
Ability to quickly learn new hardware and software in a rapidly changing environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
