Job summary

Columbia State Community College is seeking Lab Monitors to support IT staff in managing and re-imaging PCs and handling desktop support tasks. The role includes staffing the helpdesk as needed and assisting users with basic technology issues.

Responsibilities include monitoring and cleaning PC labs, assisting students, staff and faculty with basic tech questions, and periodically checking inventory to keep labs in good order. This is a short-term position with variable hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum student status required; above average computer knowledge.
• GPA 2.5 or above.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT staff with managing and re-imaging PCs, and desktop support (setups, moves).
• Staff the helpdesk as needed and assist users with 1st level technology issues.
• Monitor and cleanup PC labs; help students, staff and faculty with basic technology questions.
• Periodically check inventory and ensure computer labs are in good working order and clean.
