Job summary

Tyler Junior College seeks a Student Assistant for the Tyler Public Library's computer lab. You will assist patrons with basic computer lab needs, handle inquiries, and help maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors. The position is off-campus at the Tyler Public Library.

Work is limited to a maximum of eighteen hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting with form completion, printing, web navigation, and reporting daily statistics.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in classes.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to assist patrons with basic computer lab needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons in the public computer lab with form completion, printing, and web navigation.
• Answer basic questions or refer visitors to the appropriate contact or resource.
• Report daily statistics on the assistance provided.
• Assist computer lab staff with clerical tasks as needed.
