As our Student Systems Technical Team Manager, you will lead a talented team of technical professionals, influence the direction of critical enterprise systems, modernize and improve how we deliver technology, and partner with university leaders and functional teams to solve meaningful problems. The Student Systems Technical Team Manager provides technical and people leadership for the team responsible for the development, configuration, integration, maintenance, and production support of USC's core student systems. The position leads a team of six technical professionals supporting Ellucian Banner, along with related technologies such as DegreeWorks, Banner Document Management, batch processing, integrations, and other applications supporting the student lifecycle. This is more than a day-to-day application support role. You will help set the technical direction for USC's student systems, establish strong development and production-support practices, improve automation and integration, reduce technical debt, and ensure these mission-critical systems remain reliable and secure. You will work closely with partners in areas such as Admissions, the Registrar, Financial Aid, and other university organizations to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
